The Sailing Instructions have been posted. Please review, and while you are at it, take another look at the Notice of Race and all Amendments.
We know that some of you are still awaiting receipt of your ORC certificates. We are in close touch with U.S. Sailing and know that they are working very hard to get them all out in time for the race. We are assured that we will have them all. We will accept them when received.
A question I have been asked is, if we are all sailing the Shore Course (which we are because the border is closed), why does the website identify Division I as Cove Island and Division III as Cove Island Multihull. The answer is because they are separate divisions that will race each other for Division honors and are identified as such in the Notice of Race. So please do not go to Cove Island.
We met with Port Huron officials yesterday. Be advised that on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, all bridges will be closed from 5:00 PM until about 9:00 PM for a community event. If you arrive during that period, plan on rafting outside of the first bridge.
The Port Huron Power Squadron will be hosting a $25 steak dinner on Friday evening, July 23, 2021, from 5pm to 7pm, so take advantage of that. Reach out to Teena Lashbrook to reserve space (810) 982-2416 or (810) 434-7267. It will be located near the City Marina office.
